The SECURE Act (which was signed into law by President Trump on December 20, 2019 as part of the 2020 Budget Bill) made a number of significant changes in the law with respect to IRAs and other employer-sponsored retirement plans. This presentation will cover the most significant changes that impact plan sponsors, plan participants, and beneficiaries, with a focus on dissecting the new stretch IRA rules applicable to post-SECURE Act beneficiaries.
