Teacher misconduct matters, under New York State Education Law Section 3020a, present school officials and union representatives with uniquely challenging issues. Often, both sides must weigh the risks of whether to call students, parents and other teachers to testify in hearings. Those same issues must then be competently and sensitively addressed by the hearing officers.

During this virtual classroom, the faculty will address the grounds for disciplining teachers, the investigation, pre-hearing interviews and discovery issues as well as how to advocate during the hearing.
