This program is designed as a primer – or a reminder – regarding topics specific to the food and beverage industry. It includes topics related to wage and hour issues, collective bargaining and union avoidance, and general pointers related to employment policies and defending discrimination cases.


1) Wage and hour issues for employers including increase in minimum wage, federal tip rule, NY Hospitality Wage Order, misclassification of workers, seasonal workers, and workers under 18.

2.) Tips and reminders relating to employee handbook, personnel files, anti-discrimination laws, and unions and union avoidance.
