New Jersey is motivating telecommuters to appeal their New York tax bills. Connecticut may be next

ABC News recently published an article that examined the New York State requirement for remote employees of New York-based companies to pay personal income tax to the Empire State. Currently, New Jersey is offering a state tax credit to residents who work from home and successfully appeal their New York tax assessment. Connecticut is considering a similar measure.

Open Weaver Banks was featured in the article as a New Jersey resident who works from home in New Jersey. She gave her insight on the tax credit and explained why she is in favor of New Jersey’s program.
