Hodgson Russ LLP is pleased to announce the following attorneys have been elected to the firm’s partnership, effective January 1, 2022.

Jessica P. Chue provides clients with legal advice relating to a broad range of banking and financial transactions matters and bankruptcy-related matters. Prior to joining Hodgson Russ, she was a law clerk for the Hon. Shelley C. Chapman in the Bankruptcy Court for the Southern District of New York where she worked on a number of large, notable Chapter 11 cases. Prior to clerking in the bankruptcy court, Jessica practiced in the financial services group of a law firm in New York City where she primarily represented banks and hedge funds that purchased and sold distressed assets such as bank debt, private securities and bankruptcy claims, both domestically and internationally. She works out of the Firm’s Buffalo office.

William A. Ciszewski, III is a member of the Firm’s Business Litigation and Cybersecurity & Privacy practices. William 
represents large insurers in complex coverage litigation. He has experience with disputes concerning a variety of insurance contracts, including directors and officers liability, errors and omissions liability, comprehensive general liability, pollution liability, and excess and umbrella coverages. William has been repeatedly named an Upstate New York Rising Star by Super Lawyers. He works out of the Firm’s Buffalo office.

Marissa A. Coheley represents clients in complex litigation in both federal and state courts. Her experience includes commercial contract disputes, Employee Retirement Income Security Act (ERISA) matters, employment and non-competition matters and estate litigations. She has also represented parties in construction litigation and estates and trusts litigation. Before becoming a lawyer, she held a number of positions, including program manager at the Vietnam Veterans of America Foundation in Washington, D.C. and coordinator of the U.S. arm of the 1997 Nobel Peace Prize-winning International Campaign to Ban Landmines. Marissa has been repeatedly named an Upstate New York Rising Star by Super Lawyers. She works out of the Firm’s Buffalo office.

Ariele R. Doolittle focuses her practice on state and local tax matters, including civil and criminal tax controversies, with an emphasis on New York State tax litigation. Her experience includes personal income, franchise, sales and use, and fuel taxes. Ariele has successfully represented clients before state agencies and in state and federal court actions and appeals. She also advises clients on tax planning, residency planning and other administrative law matters. Ariele also has significant experience handling matters under the New York State Freedom of Information Law (FOIL) and the federal Freedom of Information Act (FOIA). Prior to joining Hodgson Russ, she was a law clerk at the New York State Division of Tax Appeals and Tax Appeals Tribunal. Ariele has been repeatedly named an Upstate New York Rising Star by Super Lawyers. She works out of the Firm’s Albany and New York City offices.

Kenneth Hunt regularly represents individuals, families, beneficiaries, corporate and individual fiduciaries on all aspects of complex estate and trust planning, administration, litigation, and related federal, state, and local estate, gift, and income tax issues. He frequently assists clients with preparing and filing complex federal and state gift, estate, and fiduciary income tax returns and trust reporting for nonresident individuals and foreign and domestic trusts. He also obtains Private Letter Rulings from the IRS on a variety of gift tax, GST tax and income tax issues on behalf of clients; and has significant experience in representing trusts and estates and individual taxpayers in federal and state tax audits. He works out of the Firm’s Buffalo office.

Kinsey O’Brien represents and advises private and public employers in all aspects of labor and employment law. She regularly counsels employers on compliance with federal wage and hour laws, worker classification issues, inclusive hiring and employment practices including leave and accommodation management, avoidance of discrimination, harassment, and retaliation claims, discipline, and discharge, and workplace policies and handbooks. Working with her clients as a strategic business partner, Kinsey helps management and human resource professionals mitigate risk through all phases of the employment relationship. Kinsey has been repeatedly named an Upstate New York Rising Star by Super Lawyers. She works out of the Firm’s Buffalo office.

K. Craig Reilly counsels businesses and individuals in a range of state and local tax issues, with a focus on New York State, New York City, New Jersey, and multistate tax issues. Prior to joining Hodgson Russ, he was a judicial intern for the Honorable Jane A. Resanti of the U.S. Court of International Trade and an investigative analyst at the New York County District Attorney's Office. He advises clients on all aspects of state and local tax from planning and compliance to controversy and litigation; and works closely with remote retailers and cloud-based software vendors on a variety of multistate tax compliance issues. He works out of the Firm’s Buffalo, New York City and Hackensack offices.

Aaron M. Saykin concentrates his practice in complex commercial disputes, media law, construction law, municipal and environmental matters. He has represented private and public sector clients engaged in some of the region's most significant construction disputes. Aaron also has significant experience working on multiple Article 10 energy projects in New York, including work for both developers and host communities as their trusted counsel. He also advises clients on media related issues, including communicating with the press, and is experienced in handling matters involving 
defamation, the First Amendment, New York's Open Meetings Law and Freedom of Information Law. Aaron has been repeatedly named an Upstate New York Rising Star by Super Lawyers and to the Ones to Watch list by Best Lawyers in America. He works out of the Firm’s Buffalo office.

William S. Turkovich concentrates his practice on federal and international tax law matters, including guiding Canadian and other non-U.S. clients on U.S. tax matters. He has comprehensive experience advising clients on business expansion into the United States, structuring considerations in purchasing U.S. real estate, choice of entity decisions, the tax implications of relinquishing U.S. citizenship or residency status, the application of anti-deferral regimes, and tax reform rules. Bill also has broad experience working on tax controversy matters, including voluntary disclosure options, IRS audits, U.S. Tax Court matters, tax-exempt status, and guidance on the tax implications for private placements. He has been repeatedly named an Upstate New York Rising Star by Super Lawyers. Bill works out of the Firm’s Buffalo and Toronto offices.
