Congratulations to Hodgson Russ Partner Jodyann Galvin on being named one of Buffalo Business First’s 2025 Women of Influence Award winners.

This is a much-deserved honor for Jody. Widely regarded as a mentor throughout Hodgson Russ, she leads the firm’s charitable giving and community board engagement with dedication and vision. Her unwavering commitment to serving the broader community is both inspiring and deeply commendable.

Jody serves as president of Buffalo Prep’s Board of Directors. The school works to promote educational access and opportunity to students throughout Western New York and helps academically ambitious students prepare for, obtain entrance into, and excel at demanding college preparatory high schools and beyond. Her interest in young scholars extends to her ongoing role with UB Law’s Discover Law program, which introduces students to the rigors of law school. Jody has been a mentor and matches the participants with mentors in the local legal community.

Jody also volunteers with Habitat for Humanity Buffalo as a longtime captain of a Women Build team and serves on the Executive Committee of its Board of Directors. Her other volunteer efforts include professional clothing drives, diaper collection, and charity bike rides. Jody and her sons have collected Halloween costumes for 12 years and have donated over 2,000 costumes to children served by Response to Love.

Jody works to lift students and young professionals and increase equitable opportunities, creating a lasting legacy in the Western New York community.

A special ceremony to honor Jody and the other women will be held in September 2025.
