Alex is a partner in the Hodgson Russ Business Litigation Practice. He is an experienced litigator and business counselor who has represented businesses, executives, and other professionals in complex commercial and employment disputes, as well as in day-to-day advisory matters tied to litigation risk and business operations and structure. Alex focuses on resolving significant disputes efficiently, whether through strategic negotiation, targeted motion practice, or trial.
Alex has served as lead counsel on many complex and high-profile litigation matters and has successfully resolved such claims on behalf of prominent individuals, closely held businesses, and publicly traded entities. His commercial litigation practice frequently involves claims of breach of contract and business torts, as well as all manner of claims related to intra-company disputes and business divorces.
Alex also represents employers and executives in a wide array of employment-related disputes, including terminations, executive compensation, restrictive covenants, discrimination, harassment, and wage-and-hour claims. In addition to litigating these issues, he advises clients on employment decisions, conducts internal investigations, and counsels on workplace policies and procedures aimed at limiting litigation exposure.
Beyond litigation, Alex serves as outside general counsel to businesses at critical points in their development, advising on employment and operational issues from formation and expansion through sale or dissolution. He works extensively with clients in the hospitality and food and beverage sectors, counseling chefs, restaurant groups, investors, importers, and established brands on disputes and ongoing business and employment needs. Alex also maintains a focused professional liability practice and has represented dozens of clients in legal, accounting, and other malpractice matters.
Alex began his career as an associate at a major global law firm, and immediately prior to joining Hodgson Russ, he was a partner at a boutique commercial law firm.
