Amanda B. Burns

Amanda is a skilled litigator with diverse experience that gives her a unique perspective when advocating for her clients. She focuses on employment, healthcare and business and commercial matters, as well as select tort cases. Amanda regularly defends employers against discrimination, harassment, retaliation, failure to accommodate, wage and hour and class claims in federal and state court. She also represents employers in administrative proceedings before state and local administrative bodies. Her commercial litigation experience includes breach of contract and business torts, including trade secret misappropriation, as well as an extensive insurance recovery and counseling background. Amanda’s healthcare work ranges from defending institutions in class actions, employment matters and medical malpractice cases.

Amanda also has a significant background in handling matters involving premises liability, product liability, and New York Labor Laws. She has obtained numerous summary judgments and defense verdicts for local corporations in this area.

While attending law school, Amanda interned as a law clerk for the Honorable Michael A. Telesca of the U.S. District Court for the Western District of New York and served as a volunteer tutor for Lawyers for Learning.
