Sujata Yalamanchili Named to the Power 200 Women List by Buffalo Business First

Sujata Yalamanchili, a Hodgson Russ partner and leader of the firm’s Real Estate Leasing practice and Retail Sector Industry practice, has been named to the 2021 Buffalo Business First Power 200 Women list. This recognition honors women whose talent and influence fuel economic, social and cultural growth in Western New York. Selection to the list is determined by reporters and editors of Buffalo Business First.

Sujata draws upon her extensive experience in business and commercial real estate development, commercial leasing, and real estate investment and financing to provide business-focused legal advice to help her clients reach their goals. Her specializations include structuring acquisition and development projects for office, distribution, and manufacturing facilities; advising retail sector developers and operators in development, acquisition, leasing, financing, and 1031 exchange matters; and handling real estate financing matters, including nontraditional sale leaseback and ground-lease matters.

A Williamsville, NY resident, Sujata is a member of the University at Buffalo School of Management Dean's Advisory Council, and co-chair of the Leasing Committee of the Real Property Section of the New York State Bar Association. She is a board member of Shea's Performing Arts Center, the University at Buffalo Foundation, and the Williamsville Education Foundation. In addition, Sujata is a recipient of the 2021 ATHENA Leadership Award, is listed by Best Lawyers in America as a 2021 "Lawyer of the Year" (Real Estate Law), and is listed in Chambers USA: America’s Leading Lawyers for Business (Real Estate). She received her MBA from the University at Buffalo, and her JD from Cornell Law School.
