Hodgson Russ LLP Attorney Named to City & State “2023 Who’s Who in Government Relations” List

Hodgson Russ LLP is pleased to share that Mohammed A. Alam, an associate and member of the firm’s Business Litigation Practice, has been named to the City & State “2023 Who’s Who in Government Relations” list. It highlights a community of professionals who are leveraging their know-how and connections with public officials in New York City, in the state Capitol, and in Congress.

Mohammed has an extensive political and governmental background working with the White House, U.S. House of Representatives, U.S. Senate, and the New York City Council. In addition, he has been involved in many campaigns ranging from presidential to local races.

As an attorney, Mohammed represents corporations as both plaintiffs and defendants on various matters including commercial disputes and contract litigation. He also has experience in cannabis and hemp law as well as voting rights and election law. Among Mohammed’s clients are construction and development companies, banks, other financial institutions, utility providers, and both commercial landlords and commercial tenants. He also represents educational institutions, government entities and municipalities, as well as their officials, on a variety of litigation and regulatory matters in both state and federal court.

When he is not working for clients, Mohammed takes great pride in volunteering in his community, including serving as a co-chair of the State Affairs and Government Ethics Committee for the New York City Bar Association. He is also on the Board of Directors for the University at Buffalo School of Law Graduates of the Last Decade (GOLD) Group. In addition, as part of the Erie County Bar Association’s Volunteer Lawyers Project, Mohammed serves as a board member for Rising Champions for Justice.
