New York Church Case to Shed Light on Tax Exemption, Zoning Laws
Hodgson Russ Partners Daniel Spitzer and Henry Zomerfeld were quoted in a recent article by Bloomberg Law News titled “New York Church Case to Shed Light on Tax Exemption, Zoning Laws.” When asked about the case, Henry said “property tax cases rarely make it to New York Court of Appeals, and so attorneys are watching this case closely.” Dan said “the other significant issue in the case is who needs to prove the zoning issue- the entity trying to claim property tax exemption or the taxing authority.”
