“Navigating New Challenges for Reporting in the Digital Age”
Journalists and photojournalists today are routinely confronted with issues and decisions regarding the use and licensing of photos and videos posted by others online, the use of drones to capture compelling images and video, and the public’s growing desire to review government records, including video captured by police body cameras. This year’s Buffalo Broadcasters Association’s Media Roundtable will explore these issues, and explain what you can—and cannot—do under the law, with a discussion led by three attorneys—two of whom are former media members—who handle cases in these areas.
Panel:
Mickey H. Osterreicher, General Counsel of the National Press Photographers Association (NPPA)
Ryan K. Cummings and Aaron M. Saykin of Hodgson Russ LLP's Media Law & First Amendment Practice
