As a partner in the firm’s Corporate & Business Practice, Matthew represents numerous domestic and Canadian clients in negotiating, structuring and executing complex domestic and cross border transactions, including leveraged buyouts, mergers, acquisitions, divestitures, growth equity investments, and reorganizations.

Matthew has extensive experience guiding clients through highly strategic, complex, and transformative transactions. He is dedicated to understanding each client's unique goals and works to ensure they are met at each step of the transaction process.  Matthew not only tackles current challenges but also anticipates future ones, such as additional acquisitions, management incentives, and potential exit strategies. Matthew knows that every deal is different and customizes each purchase agreement to meet the specific needs of the transaction.

In addition, Matthew acts as outside general counsel for several privately held businesses, assisting them with their day-to-day legal concerns and advising boards of directors with respect to significant corporate matters such as professional services agreements, supply agreements, distribution agreements, and license agreements.
