Long awaited additional guidance was released by the IRS on April 17, 2019 that will give additional clarity to those considering investing in an Opportunity Zone. The Opportunity Zone program is the first new national community investment program in over 15 years and has the potential to be the largest economic development program in the U.S. This broad legislation will benefit many stakeholders from individual taxpayers to developers and fund sponsors.

Hodgson Russ LLP has created a multi-disciplinary team consisting of lawyers from our Tax, Real Estate/Finance, and Securities practice groups to work with clients to analyze how they might benefit from this new legislation and implement it into their business strategy. Come hear from our panel of experts as they walk you through:

  • Fund formation and structuring
  • Tax benefits, compliance and related tax matters
  • Real estate acquisitions
