Ryan Murphy is a partner at Hodgson Russ and leader of the firm’s Employee Benefits Practice. He regularly advises corporate and individual clients on executive compensation and employee benefits issues, including with respect to equity incentive compensation, phantom equity, supplemental executive retirement plans (SERPs) and other nonqualified deferred compensation arrangements, employment, change-in-control, separation agreements, Section 409A compliance, and the golden parachute rules under Section 280G. In addition, he advises corporate clients regarding the design and administration of their tax-qualified retirement plans.

Ryan also regularly represents clients on compensation and employee benefits issues arising in mergers, acquisitions, dispositions, and other corporate transactions, including key employee retention and transition and integration issues.
